The company was started in 1899 and the name changed to Taylor Smith & Taylor in 1901. The pottery also operated under the name of TST. The pottery was produced in Chester, West Virginia along the Ohio River were many other potteries operated.
The pottery was sold to 1972 to Anchor Hocking.
The plates are in really good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. As these plates were manufactured in 1940, there maybe a slight amount of wear and utensil makes.
